Talk about growing up fast. My 6 year old has been bugging us to get her a set of earphones. She wanted it so she could plug into her computer to listen to the PC – we have the computer in the living room and it can be distracting when I’m trying to watch TV at the same time.

Well, last night, she settled on these JVC Gummy earbuds. They were not cheap at almost $10 a pop but on the other hand, I’ve used it for a short period and must say they are pretty comfortable and I’m not the type who likes earbuds. And it sounds ok though admittedly, I’m not an audiophile.

Well, we got it home and she said she wanted to listen to “all kinds of music”. I know she didn’t know what an MP3 player was called but knew exactly what she wanted. Resisting the urge to get online and order a brand new kids MP3 player, I dug into my old gadgets drawer and found an old, cheap MP3 player I had which we’re not using anymore. She’s a happy camper now.

Still, to satisfy my curiosity, I wondered what kind of MP3 players are available and found this really sweet looking one, perfect for a little girl who loves Princess and girly type stuff.
