Tranquil Moments Sound Therapy System

I have read about how you can enhance the quality of your sleep - especially your short daytime naps by playing special white noise that is designed to help you reach a certain level of brain activity.

I’m not enough of a brain wave geek to really understand it, but this gadget caught my attention today.  My sister has slept with a fan in the room for 25 years and this can emulate the sound on an oscilating fan.  It also has nature sounds.

Hmmm that’s interesting. I just learned last weekend about something that’s new to me but it’s been discovered or practiced since the 1800’s, called binaural audio. It’s supposed to bring your brainwaves down to the most productive frequencies or something like that. And those frequencies are usually when you’re asleep.

    Definitely something to try.

Here are some background sounds for moms who operate a home business: http://www.ThrivingOffice.com. It helps them sound more established when they’re on the phone and masks the sounds of screaming kids, barking dogs, etc. Some home businesses even play it when they’re not on the phone to foster productivity. Was recently featured in BusinessWeek, USA Today and NPR.
