The Challenge Of Keeping A Family Schedule
by Lynette
It’s funny how different each stage of life can be. When I was single, a simple to do list and calendar worked well. Things were much the same when I got married.
But when the babies came, I couldn’t even remember my last name some days. Besides, I now had to keep schedules for more than one person. His and the kid’s doctor’s appointments, shot schedules, play dates etc.
When our kids started school last year, my scheduling challenge increased further. On top of all that, I now have school activities, after school activities, I have to keep daddy informed and of course, keep on top of my own work schedule.
A typical dinner time conversation would sound like this.
Me: “Your daughter has a class party this Friday. She wants you to go.”
DH: “This Friday? That’s too late. I don’t know if I can get time off.”
Me: “I told you about it last week”
DH: “No, you didn’t. I don’t remember it.”
Me: “Ugh!”
So, I spent many weeks looking for the right tool that works for me and him. Am I so glad I found AirSet! I can create different groups for different parts of my life such as Work, Family, Volunteer. Within each group there are separate calendars, to do tasks and contact lists. I can even create different roles for each participant in my group, share files, web sites and so much more. I can sync it with my Palm and it’s also private. Unless I choose to publicize the group’s activities.
Best of all, AirSet sends multiple email reminders for me - so now, I don’t have to remind others manually and they can’t say I didn’t remind them now. If you haven’t already, check out AirSet. Oh, and did I say it’s free?

That’s great Bee Ean. I use Google Calendar to share certain parts of my work that need only a calendar. Still, I find AirSet more comprehensive because you can share files, tasks/to do lists, email the whole group, share contacts and more. DH always asks me the telephone number for his friends! This way, he can look it up himself.
