Teach Mini Video Lessons And Earn

by Lynette

You know they say everyone is an expert in something. We all are a bit more knowledgeable than some in certain areas. But now it’s easier and easier to share and earn from your knowledge.

MindBites is a sort of ‘pay per view’ system of your own. Create videos of what you know, upload it. Set a price or make it free then share it. There is no fee to post and host the videos. People who are interested to watch the videos have to purchase credits. Credits cost between $1.69 and $1.99 based on the volume people purchase. You get $1 of the share, or choose to donate that to a charity of your choice.

Granted, earning 50% - 60% is a pretty big bite to give MindShare. On the other hand, your shows are distributed on a ready built network with existing audience. No technical investments or setup on your part. I think if you already own a business this is a great research tool because it has a list of what videos people want to watch and learn about. For example, in the Children and Parenting category - 2nd on the list is how to potty train and third is things to do with a toddler on a rainy day.

Below is one of the videos available for purchase. It’s very cute and educational as well.

Lynette - First of all, thank you for the coverage of MindBites here! Please shoot me an email if you have questions or thoughts. Second, I wanted to let you know about “The Baby Formula,” a contest MB is launching next week. Starting Wednesday (9/3), we’ll be looking for folks to submit instructional videos that are pertinent to babies/parenting. Entrants can win up to $1500 of cash prizes for their efforts (to be awarded in November - in time for holiday spending).

This contest will benefit Any Baby Can, (www.abcaus.org), a very deserving charitable organization that works with underserved children and their families via a variety of great programs.

All entries are free to watch throughout the contest so folks can vote for their favorites. It promises to be a good place to go to learn some useful tidbits even if one isn’t inclined to pick up a video camera and join the fray! The contest pages aren’t yet up, but they will be once the contest launches next Wednesday (Sept 3). If I have my wits about me, I’ll drop back by with the link then (else you’ll be able to get to it easily from our main homepage - http://www.mindbites.com).
