Eco-Friendly Washing Machine

Saturday, September 27th, 2008

washingI am guilty of not using cloth diapers when my children were younger. I wish I did, cloth diapers have become quite sophisticated, making it difficult to tell the difference between cloth and disposable from a distance. If you are one of the smart, eco-friendly Mom’s who use cloth diapers or plan to, this little device might save you some money. This little washing machine is ideal in soaking the diapers until you are ready to wash a load.

This little handy machine can also be used to wash your delicates. It hooks up to a sink and can accommodate up to two pounds of cloth. It comes with three manual settings: wash only, rinse only, or soak. The nice thing is that it is easily portable, so you can travel with this machine. I love the idea of washing my bras and underwear in this little washing machine, in normal size machines I have damaged more delicates then I care to count. And the soaking feature is perfect for cloth diapers, stains, etc.. until you have enough

Green Friendly Water Bottle

Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008

I am always grabbing a water bottle as I run out of the house to run my errands. I use to waste so many plastic water bottles and came to realize I am causing a huge waste. Because I drink so many bottles in a week, I needed to find a way to reduce the waste of water bottles. I have recently found the Bean Canteen. It is the green friendly alternative to water bottles.

It is made of stainless steel so your water never has an after taste and always tastes refreshing. I have also found it cools quicker in the refrigerator. This can be used with juice and other cold drinks. Unlike plastic bottles, this canteen will not retain any flavors or odors from different drinks. The thing I like the best is that it fits in my car cup holders. It is dishwasher safe and comes in many different sizes and colors. This is a great alternative to the plastic water bottles.
