Facebook, Twitter, Blogging all in One Place

Friday, September 12th, 2008

Are you computer savvy? Do you Facebook, Twitter, or blog? Recently I found a new site that manages everything you do online. Lijit provides a powerful search for publishers and individuals. When visitors to site click through Lijit’s search bar it finds content within that particular site and promotes to keep readers at your site longer. This is beneficial for both you and the reader. They also offer a place where you can pay to advertise your site to other Lijit users.

The hope for publishers it that this tool will capture more page views and increase readership on a particular site. The people behind the development of Lijit have tripled their network and doubled it average publisher size and provided excellent value back to the consumer. So if you would like your Facebook, your Twitter, and your blog posts available all at the click of a button for your readers, this is a very handy tool to have.

Do Your Kids Have Blogs?

Monday, August 25th, 2008

This is probably a stupid question for those of you with older kids. My eldest is only 6 (going on 7) but I know her having a blog will be an issue coming up really fast. I’m not averse to her having one. As a matter of fact, I’ve already purchased domains 2 years ago for her to use when she’s ready.

kid-laptop At this point though I’m wondering if I should start one for her - just for family or one public one where she can earn a bit of her own pocket money. I don’t want to overwhelm her yet and think that a private one will be a good way to start to get her in the groove. Dunno… so undecided. I’ll talk to her more what she thinks and we’ll work something out accordingly. When we do you betcha its going to be part of the MomsGadgets network.

What about you? At what age did you allow your kids to have a blog? Is it private only or public? Do they get excited updating it or is it dead?
