Shed Ender : Professional De-Shedding Tool

Here are the promises made by Shed Ender :

“Shed Ender is the professional de-shedding tool that removes shedding hair trapped in your pet’s undercoat. The specially designed head grabs and removes the loose shedding hair, revealing your pet’s shiny, healthy top coat. It will not cut the hair or hurt your pet. Now you’ll remove shedding hair before it ends up all over your house, furniture and clothes. Your pets will love it and you’ll be amazed to see how much hair was trapped in the coat.”

Maybe you have seen the advertisement on TV and think “Wow! Does it really work like that?”. The answer is YES! We used to have a two year old Labrador mix dog that was rather large. Her name is Ginger. Ginger looks a lot like a Labrador but her coat is a little longer than a purebred Labrador. She sheds all year round but the worse time is when she would grow a thicker coat during the winter months and then sheds like crazy during summer. Because she is a strictly indoor dog and I am a semi-clean freak, I am obsessed about keeping the house as hair-free and dander-free as possible.

So, I bought the Shed Ender thinking “no harm trying”. I would use this on Ginger once every two or three weeks on top of her regular brushing. I was amazed at the amount of undercoat that this tool was able to draw out. It seemed like an endless task. I can keep going and going and at some point, I just have to stop. After using the Shed Ender, I’ve noticed a considerable drop in the amount of hair and dander I find around the house.

I would suggest using this tool outdoors or in an area that you don’t mind vacuuming or cleaning up after as it will get a little messy. I used mine in the kitchen with a big plastic bag beside me to dump all the hair. And it can be quite time-consuming especially if you have a big dog as this tool is quite small. The Shed Ender is also great to use on cats. We don’t have any cats but my neighbor borrowed it and used it on her Persian cat and she came back with great reviews for the product.

Overall, a tool that is definitely worth buying and the price is just right. This tool is not meant to replace regular brushing or grooming sessions but as an additional tool to add to the grooming process.
