Keep Cool In The Summer Gadget
by Tsoniki
With all the hot weather we have been having here in the south - and the humidity is so NOT helping! - my blender has been a permanent fixture on the counter. I have an Oster that we got a few years ago and I love it.
If you have little counter space, a blender is one must have! We usually have a smoothie with breakfast, and another something in the afternoon. I have found there are many blender recipes for food too - something I don’t usually think of, but hey if it can cut time off of the prepping of food for mealtimes ~ I am all for it!
My favorite blender recipe is a breakfast smoothie: orange juice concentrate (one can), bananas (1-2 chopped, it depends on how much you like bananas!), a handful of strawberries and ice. The recipe makes alot so be prepared to share. Or put it in the freezer and enjoy in the afternoon.
Do you have a blender? What is your favorite recipe?

Here’s one for you to try with your blender. Peel and freeze a banana then blend it with a peeled orange, sounds weird frozen banana, but the combination of the 2 tastes just like icecream without any of the fat !!
