We can save gasoline by riding bikes, as I have for the past 19 years. With several 70-km rides, I will never need a car. I have biked to San Francisco 20 times, to Gilroy twice, to Santa Cruz, Oakland, Half Moon Bay, and Sausalito once each. Bikes need to be advertised as a fun alternative to cars, video games, and TV.

LOL I thought it was only me! I dunno... when I was in my twenties, I had a trainer, worked out 3-5 days a week religiously. It did indeed feel good then but now after having 'aged' a little heh ;) I feel that is no longer true for me as well.

I can't recommend those reading lights enough. They are a heaven sent. I've brought it to motel rooms, my kids and I use it, we use it as a flash light - the way it sits and the light turns, it frees up our hands to work on things. It's awesome.

Doesn't matter how much electricity is saved by exercising with this new gadget, it's all about getting motivated to do it! And of course we all know that exercising does give us more energy--at least that's what all the docs say. Me? Well, I'm always exhausted afterwards and want to eat something high in sugar and calories. Can't win!

Meanwhile I want one of those reading lights. Maybe two or three! Now there's one for the entrepreneur award.

That is cool ! I really like that idea :) particularly if you could store the energy for later use, so if you are feeling particularly fit one day you could store it up for a lazy day...
