There is a fun game available through Nintendo DS Lite that is just that, Personal Trainer: Cooking, guiding you step by step through cooking. It has more than 245 recipes to choose from and serves as your “personal trainer” for cooking these recipes. You can search by calorie count, ingredients, cooking time, and more! You can even use the voice commands to navigate rather than having to wash your hands and handle the Nintendo DS. You can even save the recipes you have made to find them easier in the future. The game along with your Nintendo DS will also help you to make a grocery list by checking the ingredients that you need.

Who said that adults can’t play games too? Especially ones like these.

An organized bag, is there a such thing? I don’t know about you but I definitely have issues with my bag. Normally I carry a large bag, because I have a lot of stuff. With 3 children under 4 you just accumulate a lot. So, I have to have the room in my bag to carry all that stuff, however the issue always arises that I cannot locate something in my mammoth bag. So, what’s a gal to do?

That’s where having an organized bag comes in handy. Have you seen the Buxton bag? Wow! How can you be more organized than this? It looks pretty small, but with all of its compartments and pockets it is truly a “big” bag in that it keeps everything organized and in place.

I also like the way it goes over your shoulder and hangs so neatly in place. This is also a great safety feature so youre handbag won’t get swiped. I really liked this when traveling.

No matter how many layers of clothes I had on it never seems to be enough. Then my sister-in-law introduced me to Hand and Toe Warmers. They were a life saver!

These little warmers offer instant relief to cold fingers and toes. They are small enough to fit into your mittens and the toe box of your boots. And the best thing is they last for over six hours!! When we visited our Nations capital, they were having a snow storm; these little warmers lasted almost the whole day. They are noncombustible and made of all-natural, non-toxic materials. If you live or plan to visit a place where it is cold be sure to pick up some warmer packets, I promise you will be thankful you did.

We had relatives from Baltimore visit us recently. When they arrived they wanted to travel to see my boys football game, but we were not able to get directions to them in time. Well with their GPS navigation system they found out where we were and was able to arrive in time for the games. Is giving people directions becoming a thing of the past? For me personally, I hope so because I am not good at giving directions.

The GPS navigation map covers millions of areas of interest, it can lead you to the closest ATMs or gas station. The large screen makes it easy to read at a glance. It also can provide the driver with real-time traffic updates. The unit can be easy removed and slipped into a bag, pocket or glove compartment. You can use it wherever you need it. I am so glad my relatives had this unit, we had a fun day of football and they were able to see their nephews play for the first time.

Thankfully, I came across Darren’s Traveling Blogger. This post is written from it as a test. What I see and like in the space of a few minutes using it:

I can modify post slug. A much sought after feature.

Selecting multiple categories, even add new catagories.

Of course, the other nice feature is adding pictures.

This app is beginning to look really sweet. If I change my mind, you’ll know as I will definitely blog about it. For now, I like.

About a year ago I got my father in law a 5-Day Wireless Weather Forecaster for his cabin up North. He loves it! When your day is rotated around the weather outside, this forecaster helps plan your week. He checks it before heading out to do chores, or especially before a day of fishing.

The forecaster directly beams AccuWeather.com® forecasts for real time forecasts. The forcaster displays the daily highs and lows along with icons showing the weather conditions (e.g. sunny, rainy, cloud, snow, wind etc…). It also has a self setting clock that displays the time. Setting this forecaster up is a breeze, no computer, television or wires are needed. The forecaster can be mounted on a wall or set outside on a table with its built in stand, or attached to metal with its internal magnet.

If you live in a place where it is sunny one minute then rainy the next, this is the perfect tool for planning your day. This is also a great for teaching kids more about the weather.

I have been repeatedly impressed with this gadget as we have used it on a couple of family vacations, and other trips around. We purchased it after I had a horrible experience getting lost in New Orleans, and after returning there with good ole Tom, I was glad to have made the purchase. Tom will definitely not allow you to get lost. Its touchscreen and easy use features are a must for anyone who travels.

In fact, the only issue we’ve had with Tom is keeping him charged up so that we can enjoy his presence throughout the trip.

As you’ve seen on this blog I sometimes like to take lots of screen shots. I just love them. To me nothing can better help people understand than screen shots or videos. I have lots of stuff I’d like to show my friends or put on the blog that’s from my Palm yet, none of the screen capture apps really worked for me.

I decided to get ZGrab – a free screen capture app for Palm. It’s a little odd to use because the screen capture button is the off button. So you literally turn the unit off to take a snap shot. But hey as long as it works and I’ve tried Snap and all the rest. Only this one worked for me.

It does save in the odd .pcx format so you have to convert it before you can share or post to your blogs. Not super handy if you’re posting on the go, but what I grab the file from my Palm, open it with IrfanView – another excellent free image viewer and simply save as Jpg. Easy peasy.

The colors do look a lot brighter and not quite what I see on the PDA itself. But at this point I don’t really care much about that. All that matters is I can take a screen shot.
