I hate staples. Never used to but now I do because the little ones just love to use them up. It is so frustrating to go staple something and find you’re out of staples. Which is why I’m getting one of those staple-less staplers. It works by punching a hole in the sheets of paper and folder the tab over. The only down side is the limited number of sheets you can staple together. Which is not a huge deal since we don’t do that much at the home office anyway.

If I need to hold more sheets of paper together, I would use the paper clipper tool. It’s something I got hooked on from Asia. I couldn’t describe it well enough on text so I made a video to show you

Ok, it’s not exactly a Dymo Labelwriter but the old CoStar which works perfectly by the way until recently I am more than bummed because this little printer has been with us since before the kids and it’s been ultra useful. My biggest use for it is for stamps. I cannot tell you just how much I have grown attached to the fact that I don’t have to drive to the post office to mail or ship anything. I really don’t like going to the post office unless it’s after hours to collect mail from the post box.

If you’ve been thinking of one, I think it’s a great investment. A HUGE time saver really, especially around this time when cards and gifts go out. Who wants to stand in line?

I’m definitely looking out for a replacement.

I don’t know about you but at our house keeping up with the extra toilet paper rolls is a challenge.  We don’t have quite enough room under the sink to store the whole pack and I just can’t stand sitting the extra rolls on the back of the toilet.  That’s a good way to get wet paper and no one wants that, right?

If your family is like mine you’ve had your unwelcomed share of germs and therefore sickness already this year.  I have been looking for any way possible to help combat some of those germs and help keep us well.  One of the things that I have found that I was super curious about and its effectiveness is the Germ Guardian GG- UV-C Air Sanitizer.  It is a small plug-in device that is said to kill 99.9% of airborne germs.  It is quiet, and small and is most effective in small spaces such as bedrooms in your home. Spring is just around the corner, and though we’re bundled up now and not even thinking of the warm days that lie ahead, they’ll be here soon and for some of us with spring comes the itch to organize.  Spring cleaning and organizing can be good for us, our homes and our businesses.

One of the best ways to get organized is to begin labeling things. Of course you must first go through the simply organization process of sorting, purging and putting away, but once everything is put in its proper place why not label the container so that you can quickly and easily see where it is to go the next time you have to put it away.

My husband and small cell phone keys are not compatible. They get him all worked up and frankly, it does me too. When we first experienced chirps (Walkie Talkie) oh about 3 years ago, we were very interested. My brother-in-law who’s a painter uses that extensively in his business to keep in touch with his builders and his family.

But alas, then we just didn’t have Walkie Talkie available where we lived. After patiently waiting for a long time, Sprint/Nextel still says the service in unavailable to us. But I got antsy. Our TracFones were way, way too old and did my research. We settled on Boost Mobile.

Boost Mobile is really targeted at younger, single people. But to us it made perfect sense. It is a pre-paid cell phone – we just aren’t prepared to go full monthly service. We don’t use cells that much since it’s not allowed at his work and I work from home and am home all day. So why spend $60 – $80 a month when we don’t have to?

After working everything out, the per minute calls were still lower compared to TracFone. You can even get wireless web for only $0.35 a day but the best part we like most is chirp! Walkie-Talkie is $1 a day only on the days we use it. So we figure, if we max it out that’s $60 a month for both of us – if we use it that much and we know we won’t.

It’s been a few months now. We really like the fact that my husband can talk to his brother, nieces and nephew for only $1 all day long. Walkie-talkie is so much more fun than text for us. And if we want to text? No problem, we only pay for outgoing texts. Incoming texts are free. That is sweet.

Overall we really like Boost Mobile. The only thing is, we had to call customer service to get our credit cards on file so it will auto-refill our minutes. Other than that it has been a good decision. Oh and no, we’ve hardly hit the max since we got it. I think we only spent $20 in about 3 months or so.
