Honestly, I have no idea why it took me so very long to get one of these babies and in many ways, I’m still a little surprised how the common ice cream scoop is now one of my favorite, most versatile kitchen gadgets. But not just any ice cream scoop, it’s the small ice cream scoop.

Here’s what it’s perfect for:

• Small cup cakes. It’s great for making tiny pop-in-the-mouth sized cup cakes and you make even sized cakes.

• Ice cream – duh! Well actually, I find myself enjoying my ice cream a lot more and eating less with the tiny scoops they are such a novelty!

I’m not a very domestic person and certainly far from being Martha Stewart.

You know in a few days, I’ll have to bring food for a Girl Scout party. Been wracking my head what to make without spending too much effort. This got me thinking – a lot!

What fun this toaster looks! My kids love toast even if it’s simply toast with butter. Problem is, they don’t like to eat much during breakfast time and it makes me feel so guilty since breakfast is the most important meal of the day and gives them a great start at school. Cutting and chopping are frequent in my kitchen. I love to make dishes from scratch, recreating favorite meals my husband and I may have eaten out at restaurants in the past, many of which require fresh ingredients, such as onions, celery, peppers or garlic.  However, one issue I always have is with my cutting board sliding around.  The knife was hard enough to master for me, I don’t need the cutting board to slip and for me to cut off my finger in the process.
