Baby’s First TV

by Lynette

I know what some of you are thinking and probably rolling your eyes. “Isn’t the idea no more TV?” Well, I don’t mind opinions about TV and certainly respect every parent’s wishes on this. But if you feel you have to dress me down on my blog. I also respectfully ask you to leave. We just don’t need this kind of drama. That out of the way, let’s get down to the review.

We ordered Baby’s First TV mostly for our youngest who is 3. Although we have Noggin, at that time, Noggin would end at 6PM and now DishNetwork won’t turn on Noggin 24 hours like they are supposed to. But that’s a whole new story.

Baby’s First TV is kinda like Baby Einstein on TV. It’s pretty cool and has absolutely zero ads which we love. It’s of course totally educational. As with everything educational, it helps if you’re there to guide them and point out stuff to your child. So, no. It’s not a babysitter - ever.

They even have quick segments to teach kids some sign language and I absolutely love that. Even our first grader and pre-schooler loves some of the shows. Overall for $4.99 a month we feel it’s been a good investment. Of course, the kids don’t watch it all day, but it is nice ‘helper’ and more importantly, an alternative to all the other junk kids’ programming out there.

    Hi,
I agree. It is a great network. You can play it for five minutes or fifty and not be monitering what is going on. It is very safe, not caustic to the ears and friendly. I love it.
