My Dream Camera

I love to take pictures, especially digital pictures.  The ease of being able to save the good ones and erase the bad ones at the touch of a button.  My kids love digital too. They are running to look at the little screen on the back of the camera before I can get the picture taken almost.

I don’t have a nice digital camera, I have a pretty inexpensive one.  I would love this digital camera, a Canon Rebel with a nice lens to zoom in on the kids.  I am especially hoping to have one of these as my kids get bigger and start playing sports so that I can catch them in action.

One day I”ll have one of these and be snapping pictures till my heart is content.  What kind of camera do you have?  Do you dream of owning a better one too?

Memory In Hand

I didn’t realize the power of these tiny little memory cards until I purchased a netbook last month.  These SDHC Flash Memory Cards can hold a ton of data in their little memory banks and can be used in various things, including a digital camera, a digital picture frame and a netbook, expanding its storage.  This particular one is 8 gb.

The neat thing about the memory card is that you can take it from digital cam to your netbook and vice versa swapping the pictures or using it to have them printed at a printer kiosk.  It provide portability and ease of use to do what you need to do with the data you have stored.

These a perfect way to extend the life of your camera or your netbook.  For the price that’s not a bad deal at all, if I do say so myself.

Tweetdeck

Twitter, which is dubbed the “virtual water cooler” of our day is one happening place to be.  It can also be so hopping and happening that it can be a bit hairy to keep up with at times.  I have been using the Twitter program, Tweetdeck, for a little while now, but it wasn’t until today that I began using the feature “groups”.  This feature allows your to sort those you are following on Twitter by group.  Maybe you follow a bunch of other “moms of preschoolers” or maybe you follow “mompreneurs” or “homeschoolers”, you can use the group feature to “sort” those you are following so that it makes following and keeping up with your Twitter friends a little bit easier. It is a feature I’m sure to enjoy.

Tweetdeck has other great features too, its latest version even allows you the option of posting your tweets to Facebook, simultaneously or separately, allowing you to update your Facebook account from Twitter.  Two thumbs up there hey?

I love Tweetdeck and think if you’re a Twitter fanatic you should definitely give it a try.

Protect Your Child

We all want to protect our child from everything, including germs.  One of the germ-iest places I think of is the shopping carts that we all put our children in when going grocery shopping, household shopping or other shopping.  These things are touched by literally hundreds of people daily and who knows what that person touched before they touched the cart.  Just thinking about it can be a bit sickening.

So, what’s a mom to do about it?  Well, the coolest things are now made to protect your child from the germs on the cart and entertain them a bit possibly too.  The Shopping Cart protectoreven has places to hold your valuables too if you wish to use them, places for your cell phone and shopping list too.

This could truly be an item that would not only protect your child, but make your life a little easier.

Ptotect Your Electronics

Lightening and storms are frequent this time of year.  Storms can often effect our electronics, power surging or completely burning up the items.  Protect your electronics properly by using a power Surge Protector to keep them safe.

If these electronics, especially computers are connected to a phone line you will want to protect that as well.  You can purchase power surge protectors that include phone and Ethernet ports as well.  Since you’re not always home to unplug purchasing this type of protection will ensure that your electronics remain safe and unharmed.

The small investment in the protection will be worth it to eliminate the thousands you would spend to replace the items if they were hit by lightening.
