Today I received notice that a book I’ve been waiting to read is being sent to me. The book is Elizabeth Pantley’s Hidden Messages : What Our Words and Actions Are Really Telling Our Children. I will pay $0 for it.

So how do you get quality free books like these mailed to you automatically? PaperBackSwap of course. I’ve mentioned this resource several times already. But it is so good I can’t help but talk about it.

When you join, you submit 9 books that you are willing to trade and you’ll get 3 credits. Each credit allows you to request 1 book from someone else. So, you post your books and you enter into the system the books you’d like to read and request those automatically.

The minute your requested book is available, the system puts in the order for you and voila! You get your book in the mail. When someone requests a book from you, you mail it to them at your expense. Upon receipt, you get 1 credit.

So, it’s a fair exchange because people mail the books you request at their expense. Works out nicely, plus it’s easy on any mom’s budget.

Are you an avid reader? You might want to sign up right away because after October 5th, you’ll have to post 10 books to get 2 startup credits.
