50’s & 60’s Album
by Lynette
Ok, so it’s not an album I made myself. God knows I can’t sing but I do love to spin the records. There’s something special about it. I’ve always loved sitting in front of the (then) record player and playing DJ. I used to do this a lot when I was a kid. We’d just sit down, go through our family’s record collection, pick out the special songs and spin them.
Yes, we had real records in our house and I do know how to use, clean and maintain a record player too. When I became an adult and CD’s replaced my records, I’d do the same thing. I find it very relaxing after a bad day at work, great way to start a weekend. Just no TV, low lights, good company and good music.
I have a huge love for 50’s and 60’s music thanks to mom and dad. On Youtube the other night, I managed to save up to 44 tracks as favorites and wasn’t even done yet. Well, since I can make a playlist out of it, why not share it with you my friends?
This is my 50’s and 60’s playlist. It will play automatically one after the other. I’m not a professional DJ of course and only picked out the music that I love. So you may here a jumble of styles from Folk to Motown all mixed into a huge big ball. But if you like oldies, you should enjoy it. I normally play them without watching the videos but some of the old vids are pretty cool.
Enjoy and let me know what you think. Please!

This gadget is so much fun! Thank you, thank you for my new Saturday night groove! They do not make love songs like this any more. Not even close. What the heck happen to our music. All right… got to go back and listen with DH!

Oh Sharon I know it about the quality of music. It’s not only the voices and talent. It’s what they sing about today. Just too much sleaze, cussing, promoting bad habits… ugh. I’m not going to go there. Glad you enjoyed it!
