Facebook, Twitter, Blogging all in One Place

Categories: Everything Else, Web Things

Are you computer savvy? Do you Facebook, Twitter, or blog? Recently I found a new site that manages everything you do online. Lijit provides a powerful search for publishers and individuals. When visitors to site click through Lijit’s search bar it finds content within that particular site and promotes to keep readers at your site longer. This is beneficial for both you and the reader. They also offer a place where you can pay to advertise your site to other Lijit users.

The hope for publishers it that this tool will capture more page views and increase readership on a particular site. The people behind the development of Lijit have tripled their network and doubled it average publisher size and provided excellent value back to the consumer. So if you would like your Facebook, your Twitter, and your blog posts available all at the click of a button for your readers, this is a very handy tool to have.

Thanks for the review of our service.

You didn't mention the detailed stats that we provide to blog publishers, and IMO, that is a big part of our value proposition. We let you know what your readers have been searching for, what search results they're clicking on, where they're coming from, and, most importantly, what searches they're doing that return no results. This is extremely valuable because it shows you where you have a gap in your content and lets you know how to better serve your readers.

Also, if anyone is interested in reading our recently updated Publisher Agreement, you can do so here: http://www.lijit.com/publisher_agreement

If any of your readers have feedback or questions, please send them my way. I'm tara at lijit dot com and I welcome your thoughts.

Good work. It's about being informed, and I'm mightly glad you took the time to research this. Once informed, if publishers are happy with a tool and its conditions, then P.U.B has done our job. Bravo.

My daughter's name is Barry FYI, I'm Barney :)

Keep up the good work!

Barney & Tara, thanks for dropping by. I must admit that I'm one of those who normally don't get too worked up about TOS's. Incidentally, Tara, I did read over the revised publisher agreement. Barry, I don't think I'll lose my content since the copyright still remains with me. On the other hand Tara, I did see several things I am not quite happy about.

I understand about the need to perform, display and distribute the content but to create derivative works... I'm not so sure about that. Also, the right to irrevocable and perpetual license of the work... also makes me stop short. Does that mean once I submit a blog and you index it you'll obtain that license forever even though I later delete the account? If that is so, that's not so cool.

As someone who works with software and the technical stuff, believe me, I do understand why you need certain rights but in this case, it would be fair if the publisher can revoke the license the moment they delete the account which is sort of saying we're canceling the agreement. No?

Publishers Union of Bloggers currently advise Publishers hold off installing any Lijit Software on their blogs pending both Lijit’s promised upcoming transparency from Lijit concerning revenue and Lijit's current 'terms of use' which gives Lijit free reign concerning use of your content once our Publishers install Lijit Software into their blog.

Any thoughts on these critical issues for Pub's, pass it on, all appreciate it.
