I bought the Dryer Max Dryer Balls from a local pharmacy for $9.99. When added into the dryer with your wet laundry, the Dryer Balls help to lift and separate laundry allowing hot air to flow more efficiently. It claims to reduce the drying time by up to 25%. It also claims to massage the fibers, opening them up and making them naturally soft and fluffy, reducing lint, static and wrinkles without the use of chemicals making them safe for use on all fabrics. No more dryer sheets or fabric softener!
After using it for about nine months now, I must say that it has indeed been a good buy for me. I noticed that it does cut down my drying time by an average of 10-15 minutes for a full load of laundry. And my laundry does come out softer, fluffier and with less wrinkles. I haven’t noticed much difference in the static but there is definitely less lint. Replacing dryer sheets and fabric softener with the Dryer Balls has saved me money since the Dryer Balls are reusable. I like that the Dryer Balls are non-toxic and hypoallergenic which is a definite plus for someone like me with sensitive skin. I’m also not a big fan of strong scents. The odorless Dryer Balls are a welcomed relief from the myriad of scents found in dryer sheets and fabric softeners.
The biggest down side to the Dryer Balls is the noise. If you have your dryer in the garage like I do, then it’s not a problem. But if your dryer is in close proximity, the noise can be quite annoying. The other down side is that the balls do sometimes get stuck in the arms of your clothing or in between your sheets.
