My friends over at Twitter have been talking up a storm about their brand new Senseo coffee machines, crock pots and Black Berries. I think they are Thankful for those gadgets that that make life as mom more manageable and enjoyable.
I am of course thankful for my family first and foremost, but thought it’ll be interesting list out what gadgets and web things I am so thankful for as well. Here’s my list.
Palm TX – It is my mp3 player, my ebook reader, day planner, Twitter tool, email client, blogging tool, work tool, alarm clock, entertainment center (games), learning center (downloaded videos) and so much more in a tiny little package I can take anywhere. I’d go crazy without it.
Dishwasher – Don’t think I can explain it further
but do very much wish they’ll make one that puts away the dishes after they are washed! Hmm…. Maybe they need to make one where the baskets slide into the cabinet next to it after washing. Then you load another set of baskets for the next load.
PocketDish 500 – I love, love love my PocketDish. It is really a re-branded version of the Archos AV700. I’ve blogged about it before so I’m not going to bore you all over again about it.
Panasonic SV-AS10 – We’ve captured many memorable family video clips and pictures with this. Easy to upload to video and picture sharing sites too.
Online banking – We don’t have a second vehicle. It would be super frustrating to try to do banking after hubs gets home. Besides I really love the ability to download transactions (not typing them in all over again) and checking up balances in real time, anytime even holidays.
Satellite Radio – It comes packaged with our satellite TV. Keeps mom sane and lifts her mood when she’s not feeling particularly good.
Color printers – So very handy when Grandma insists on taking a picture of the kids home and in a pinch for time. Just hit print. No visits to the store with fighting, whiny kids in tow.
Stamps.com – Especially now when holiday season is around the corner.
The Internet – Wouldn’t be able to enjoy the lifestyle I have today without it. Thank you, thank you, thank you ARPA!
AquaDoodle – Alright so this isn’t mommy’s gadget but it is a very cool item for the kids. No mess, no expensive refills or pens just add water and a boat load of creativity. Kiddos love them.
What’s your list of mom gadgets, tools and web things you are thankful for? I think I’ll tag a few friends to find out. Your turn – Melody Thacker, Alyssa Avant, Jamy, Annette Yen and Arika.
